Sales Manager – Life Sciences

Basis of employment: Full-time, permanent
Location:  Pune, Maharashtra and Bangalore, Karnataka

Key responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and execute on a territory plan to support achieving and exceeding the assigned sales targets. Develop strategies and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, as well as handle and close sales leads generated by other colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support.
Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns, special projects as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills .
Host and represent the company at trade shows within assigned accounts or relevant associations.
Utilize data sources to analyses and capitalize on territory opportunities with the greatest return of investment. Communicate key competitor activities, trends and changing customer plans and priorities.
Provide written and verbal communication of successes, failures, standard methodologies, to improve the overall operating efficiency of the territory, team, and sales organization.
Coordinate and prepare quotations/bids within company guidelines as needed to maintain and increase revenues with support across all team members security guidelines
Accurately forecast revenues.
Experience/Qualifications/Qualities:
M.Sc., degree in Life sciences with 4-6 years of field experience is preferred.
Hands-on laboratory work experience with Molecular, cell or protein biology Technologies would be added advantage
Validated sales track record in similar industry is highly advantageous.
Strong capabilities to interact optimally with partners at all levels within an organization
Ability to function optimally in a high-performance team, demonstrating positive demeanour and desire to succeed
Ability to work with a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business environment, managing time effectively to prioritize tasks and requests daily
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Proficiency in English; Hindi
Holding India driving License along with vehicle.

Technical Sales Manager- Life Science

How Will You Make an Impact

The Technical sales Specialist role within the Life Sciences Solutions team is focused on developing and managing Biosciences business through partnering with sales managers and Sub channel partners across entire south territory.
The Technical Sales Specialist will be a driver of business growth through the development of new business and by expanding business with current customers. You will be recognized as a technical leader in driving strategic objectives and adoption of new products into Market

What will you do?
Provide technical support for Life Sciences products and services by answering customer technical inquiries. Inquiries may be received via telephone, email or web form
Provide customer support on technical issues by utilizing all available resources, and escalate issues or problems when warranted
Participate in frequent training on products and continuing education on new applications and technologies to remain at the cutting edge of scientific knowledge
Recommend changes to knowledge databases, website, and other company- managed databases of technical information
Contribute to department meetings
Participate in additional special team or individual projects
Travel may be required for the position
How will you get here?
Requires a PhD degree in cell biology, protein biology, biochemistry or related field with 1-3 years of experience or the equivalent knowledge and industry/functional experience with Master Degree of 8-12 years within Life Sciences as Product/Application Manager
Experience with technical service, customer service and public speaking is preferred.
Good written and verbal English communication skills are essential
Self-motivated and ability to work independently; Strong organizational ability to successfully work and get things done in teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Problem-solving ability
Computer literacy, including spreadsheet, database, word processing and Internet applications

Sales Coordinator Responsibilities:
Helping the sales team to improve their productivity by contacting customers to arrange appointments and ensuring all Sales Representatives have high-quality, up-to-date support material.
Handling urgent calls, emails, and messages when sales representatives are unavailable, answering customer queries, informing them of delays, arranging delivery dates, and scheduling marketing events.
Handling orders by phone, email, or mail and checking the orders have the correct prices, discounts, and product numbers.
Inputting orders, ensuring they are processed according to customer requirements, and ensuring all orders are accurate and delivered on time.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure sales, marketing, queries, and deliveries are handled efficiently.
Developing and maintaining filing systems so as to maintain sales records, prepare reports, and provide financial information to the finance department.

Sales Coordinator Requirements:
Experience as a sales coordinator or in administration may be advantageous.
